An abundance of choice paired with comfort! That is Libby’s Café & Bar.
Warm and inviting, the restaurant offers a bar/lounge area, main dining room, space and rooms for private parties and outdoor seating. Colorful lighting, booth seating, a visible wine cellar/room, and a metal tray ceiling add to the charm. Even though the space is large, the layout makes it feel much smaller, and the noise level is very acceptable.
Offering an extensive selection of Cold and Hot plates, Simply Grilled Entrees, Seafood Specialties, Steaks and Chops and sides, the menu is abundant offering multiple options for everyone.
Our meals consisted of the following:
Our House Salad: Simple organic greens, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, ricotta salata, golden balsamic vinaigrette $10.00 share/ $6.00 individual Fresh crisp vegetables, tasty dressing, "share" portion was generous Hearts of Romaine Caesar: Foccacia croutons, Tuscan white anchovy, cherry tomatoes $10.00 share/ $6.00 individual Nicely chopped hearts of romaine, crisp, cool and evenly dressed Simply Grilled Gulf Shrimp: Served with one choice of asparagus, thin green beans, or Yukon gold potato puree. $19.00. You can add a specialty sauce for $2.00 choose from: house steak sauce, hollandaise, San Marzano tomato sauce, shallot barolo jus, sweet ginger-Thai Chile glaze, truffle aioli or Sunday style country gravy, cider gravy. Both the shrimp and the asparagus were well prepared and flavorful; Editors note: the simply grilled dishes are designed to be austere in presentation and apportion. Scampi Spaghetti: Whitewater clams, gulf shrimp, candied garlic, pinot grigio, grape tomatoes, basil sweet butter $21.00 Loaded with seafood, al dente pasta, unique plating...it's a pan! Chicken Milano, Dijon Crumb Crust: Pounded chicken breast, handmade sweet potato agnelotti, garlicky baby spinach, pinot noir jus $24.00 Very nicely presented, a very nice blend of colors, flavors, and textures
The meals were accompanied by an Asiago cheese bread which seemed like a hybrid roll/biscuit and served with 3 types of spreads (roasted garlic, white truffle butter, and cherries)
Reinforcing the theme of choice, the wine list is extensive offering a wide range of wines served by the glass or bottle.
Offering a wide range of choices in dining, venue, and price range, Libby’s has become one of our “go to” places. To read our “Friday Faves” blog post about Libby’s click here
